Man, it's been awhile since I last visited my own site.  Over 5,000 views!!  I haven't done guy pics in quite some time either...I've been doing more toon stuff.

Anyway, the really creative people have been building more stuff to play with.  I started to revisit my Rainbow Squad concept...this time using the new characters for Genesis 2 (which I haven't done much with before.

Here's Beastiary.  He's a member of the Red Team.

Going Down?

So, we moved to a new apartment a few months back.  We're now in a factory that was converted into apartments for 55 and over.  Unfortunately, we qualify as 55 and over.

Anyway, we have large rooms and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams and pipes.  The windows are humongous and everything is top notch.  Even the bathroom is huge.  We're on the fourth floor and there is a gym in the building, along with a game room and a function room with a full kitchen.  There's also two elevators.

Imagine my pleasure when the modelers at DAZ3d came up with an elevator model.  Here's the pic I came up with yesterday...3 versions, with three different light sets.  I'd ask which you liked better, but no one ever leaves a comment.  LOL

I've been re-imagining my boys as a superhero team that I created years ago.  I called it Rainbow Squad (duh) and it was originally done with a different cartoon character base.  Anyway, here's the first, RobbyBobby (natch) as Scarab.

New DAZ Studio 4.6 Toon Shaders

I just upgraded to DAZ Studio 4.6...for free!!  It comes with new subsurface shaders and there is also a toon shader available (which I had to get, of course).  Yesterday I played around with it for a bit and did this scene with Toon RobbyBobby and Toon John Michael.  No body hair with this, though.  LOL

The latest look at my virtual apartment. I'm going to have to redo everything since the hubby decided to paint last week and totally rearranged all of the furniture.

Where does the time go?  It's been forever since I've done any renders with DAZ Studio.  I'm sitting here feeling blah (springtime cold), so I figured I'd do a quick one.  So, here's RobbyBobby and John Michael for your entertainment.

RobbyBobby Wall

It's been awhile since I last posted anything here (or anywhere for that matter).  Since I've never gotten any comments, I don't know if anyone notices or cares...  Anyway, I was hospitalized for a bit...had surgery in January...but I'm recovering well.  We were supposed to fly out yesterday to Fort Lauderdale, but all flights were cancelled because of the "Blizzard of 2013".  We finally got reservations for a flight tomorrow night...if it gets cancelled, I don't know what we will do.  We're supposed to be leaving for an 11 day cruise to the Western Caribbean Monday afternoon.

This is just a simple pic that I threw together to get used to playing with DAZ Studio again.

Virtual Home Update

I've been working on my virtual apartment today.  I've reworked the cabinets to more closely resemble our real life kitchen and added the fridge and floor.  I've still got to put in the china cabinet on the left wall.  I even put in a microwave and coffee maker (although we have a Keurig and I haven't seen any virtual ones out there).

I'm also adding a pic of my Toon Avatar, RobbyBobby, in the Living room.  I wanted to see how the new lights worked with him.

I've started working on the kitchen of my virtual apartment. There's a lot left to do, of course...like putting in a tile floor and the china cabinet against the wall. I'm trying some new light settings as well.  I'm also adding a fuller view of the Living Room.

So, by extension, it's also the living room for our avatars, RobbyBobby and John Michael. I'm slowly rebuilding our apartment in DAZ Studio 4.5.  I've done this a few times before (duh), but this time I'm taking my time and trying to get things more to actual scale.
